Doula Support

As your death doula I am available to you and your family members as you approach the end of life and through the end of life. This may include planning and hosting a living funeral, making playlists of your favorite songs, ensuring that you are surrounded by your favorite people, smells and feels, leading prayers, arranging meals for your loved ones, or simply holding your hand. My goal is to be a supportive presence and to bring calm, peace and acceptance to your final days.

I am available to travel throughout the United States, additional charges apply outside of the Chicago metropolitan area.

End of Life Planning

Whether you are actively approaching the end of life, or not, I can make sure that there is clarity for your family when planning your final celebration. Do you want to be buried? Cremated? A green burial? What clothes would you like to be wearing? We can write your obituary, or eulogy. We can pick music and readings. I can guide you through the entire planning process, or give you direction to help you to plan independently.

Grief Support

One of the most powerful things we can do is listen to the stories of others. I am available to listen, to help process grief through the use of journaling, rituals, celebrations of anniversaries, or to plan memorials or rememberances.

Education &

Leadership Support

As a former business leader I know personally that there is a need for our staff members to understand how to support their peers as they move through grief - which they are destined to do. Whether the loss of a pet, spouse, parent, child or other loved one does your staff know how to support the return to work? Does your Human Resources staff know how to build a responsive bereavement plan? Do your leaders know how to show care and compassion when their employees most need to feel that their emotional needs matter?

As a former educator I know that students are attending school while processing grief, whether over the death of a parent, grandparent or sibling, the death of a pet, or even when experiencing grief related to things like a move or divorce. Having teachers in schools who have the resources to meet students in their grief and to help them navigate the demands of school while living with grief is essential.

I am available for leadership training, staff training, or small group consultation. I am open to travel throughout the United States, additional charges apply outside of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Speaking Engagements

I have been speaking publicly for over a decade, (longer if you count speaking at my college graduation ceremony!), in a variety of settings. Mixing humor with research based learning, participants share that audiences are engaged, the content is relatable, that my “passion is contagious”, and that they look forward to their next opportunity to learn together.
